This Privacy Policy explains how Al Khaburi Watches, operated by Zuhair Al Khabori Trading LLC, collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects personal data when customers visit our website, contact us, place an order, request delivery or pickup, ask for support, or use our watch-related services.

This policy is intended to align with the Personal Data Protection Law of the Sultanate of Oman and its implementing requirements. Nothing in this policy is intended to reduce any right available to a customer under applicable law.

  • Payment-related data: payment confirmation, transaction status, payment method type, and information received from payment service providers. We do not intentionally store full card numbers on our own systems.
  • Customer support data: messages, enquiries, complaint details, photographs or documents shared for product, warranty, delivery, or service support.
  • Account data: information used to create or manage a customer account, where customer accounts are enabled.
  • Marketing preference data: whether you have opted in or opted out of receiving marketing communications.
  • Website and device data: IP address, browser type, device information, cookies, pages viewed, cart activity, approximate location based on technical data, and website usage information.

3. Data we ask customers not to send

Please do not send us unnecessary sensitive personal data, such as civil ID copies, health information, biometric data, children’s data, bank card images, passwords, or private personal documents, unless we specifically request information for a lawful and necessary purpose.

  • to confirm product availability, prices, delivery, pickup, and payment status;

  • to comply with legal, accounting, tax, consumer protection, recordkeeping, and regulatory obligations;

5. Consent and lawful processing

Where consent is required, we will seek consent in a clear and understandable way. This may include consent given through website forms, checkout selections, marketing opt-in boxes, WhatsApp communication, email communication, or other clear customer action.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal and does not prevent processing where we must continue processing for lawful order fulfilment, accounting, warranty, consumer-protection, legal, or dispute-resolution purposes.

We will not send marketing messages by email, SMS, WhatsApp, or similar channels unless we have the required consent or lawful permission. Customers may opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe method provided, replying to the message where appropriate, or contacting us directly.

Transactional messages, such as order updates, delivery coordination, payment confirmation, return handling, warranty support, and service updates, are not marketing messages.

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the store, remember cart activity, support checkout, improve website performance, understand customer interaction with the website, and support security and fraud prevention.

  • suppliers, authorised service providers, or technical parties for warranty, repair, inspection, or product support;
  • professional advisers, auditors, accountants, insurers, or legal advisers where required;
  • government authorities, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or competent authorities where required by law.

We do not sell customer personal data.

9. Shopify and third-party services

Our website is built on Shopify. When you use the website or checkout, Shopify and its related service providers may process personal data to provide e-commerce, checkout, payment, security, fraud prevention, hosting, analytics, and platform services.

Third-party websites or services linked from our website may have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites that we do not control.

10. International transfers and processing outside Oman

Some service providers, including Shopify and other technology providers, may process or store data outside the Sultanate of Oman. Where personal data is transferred or processed outside Oman, we will seek to ensure that such transfer or processing is connected to a lawful business purpose and subject to appropriate safeguards, service-provider controls, or contractual arrangements.

We will not knowingly transfer personal data in a way that is unlawful or intended to cause harm to the customer.

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including order fulfilment, customer support, warranty handling, returns, accounting records, legal compliance, consumer protection obligations, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and business recordkeeping.

Where data is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete, anonymise, restrict, or securely retain it in accordance with applicable requirements and operational needs.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss, misuse, or unlawful processing.

No website, messaging channel, payment system, or internet transmission is completely risk-free. Customers should avoid sending sensitive information through insecure channels and should contact us if they believe their order or account information has been misused.

If a personal data breach occurs and notification is required under applicable law, we will take the required steps to assess the breach, reduce harm, notify the competent authority where required, and notify affected individuals where required.

  • withdraw consent to processing where processing is based on consent;
  • request access to personal data processed about them;
  • request a copy of personal data processed about them;
  • request correction, update, or blocking of inaccurate personal data;
  • request deletion of personal data where legally available;
  • request transfer of personal data to another controller where applicable;
  • be informed of a personal data breach where notification is required;
  • submit a complaint to the competent authority if they believe their personal data has been processed contrary to applicable law.

Some requests may be refused or limited where the data is required for order fulfilment, legal compliance, accounting, consumer protection, warranty, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or another lawful purpose.
