Al Khaburi Watches continues a family retail journey that began long before this online store. It is rooted in the work of Zuhair Jawad Al Khaburi, who built his business through daily presence, personal service, and the trust of customers who returned year after year.

Before the watch counter, there was Grand Bazar, a family store serving men and women with garments and apparel. In 1975, after the closure of Grand Bazar, Zuhair Jawad Al Khaburi opened Al Khabori Trading on Ruwi High Street, focusing first on gentlemen’s clothing before expanding into ladies’ clothing as the business grew.

In 1992, Zuhair Al Khabori Trading was established to carry the ladies’ clothing side of the business forward. By 1993, watches were introduced into the store, beginning with accessible and trusted brands such as Seiko, Citizen, Alba, Titan, Eliz, and others. Over time, watches became more than an added category. They became part of the family’s retail identity.

Today, Al Khaburi Watches is the next chapter of that story. The market has changed, the way people shop has changed, and the physical retail landscape in Muscat has changed with it. Al Khabori Trading’s physical chapter, open since 1975, is coming to a close — but the family has chosen to carry the spirit of the business forward rather than let it disappear.

This online store is our attempt to bring that legacy into the 21st century: practical, honest, locally rooted, and built around watches that people can wear, gift, collect, and remember.
