Returns & Warranty
This Returns & Warranty Policy applies to purchases made from Al Khaburi Watches, operated by Zuhair Al Khabori Trading LLC in the Sultanate of Oman.
We handle returns, exchanges, warranty requests, and service support in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws and regulations in the Sultanate of Oman. Nothing in this policy is intended to reduce any statutory right available to the customer under Oman law.
1. Defective, damaged, incorrect, or not-as-described items
If an item received is defective, damaged, incorrect, or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible and within the applicable statutory period.
For defective goods, customers may request support within 15 days from receiving the item for online orders, or from purchase where applicable, provided that:
- the defect was not caused by misuse, impact, negligence, unauthorised repair, or improper handling;
- the customer can provide proof of purchase, such as an invoice, receipt, or order confirmation;
- the item is made available for inspection where required.
Where a valid defect is confirmed, we will provide the appropriate lawful remedy, which may include repair, replacement, refund, or another resolution required by applicable law.
2. Items damaged during delivery or collection
If an item appears damaged when received, please notify us promptly before using the product. Customers may be asked to provide photographs of the item, packaging, invoice or order confirmation, and any visible damage so that the matter can be reviewed quickly.
Please keep the original packaging, accessories, tags, warranty documents, and any protective materials until the issue is resolved.
3. Non-defective returns and exchanges
For items that are not defective, damaged, incorrect, or misdescribed, returns or exchanges may be accepted at our discretion and subject to product condition, stock availability, and applicable consumer protection requirements.
Non-defective returns or exchanges may be refused where the item:
- has been used, worn, altered, damaged, resized, or repaired;
- has missing packaging, manuals, warranty cards, accessories, tags, or protective materials;
- shows scratches, marks, strap wear, removed protective films, or other signs of use;
- was supplied as a clearly disclosed final-sale, clearance, customised, or specially arranged item, unless required by law.
This section does not affect statutory rights relating to defective goods, damaged goods, incorrect items, misdescribed items, or any other rights that cannot be excluded under Oman law.
4. Warranty coverage
Warranty coverage may vary depending on the brand, model, supplier, manufacturer, and warranty documents provided with the watch or confirmed at the time of sale.
Where a manufacturer, supplier, or store warranty applies, the warranty will normally cover manufacturing defects only, subject to the applicable warranty terms. Statutory consumer rights under Oman law remain unaffected.
5. Warranty exclusions
Unless required by applicable law or expressly covered by a valid warranty, warranty support will generally not cover:
- misuse, negligence, impact, dropping, crushing, or accidental damage;
- water damage where the watch has been used outside its stated water-resistance rating;
- damage caused by exposing the watch to heat, chemicals, perfumes, detergents, cosmetics, or moisture beyond its rating;
- normal wear and tear, including scratches, fading, plating wear, case wear, bracelet wear, and strap wear;
- battery depletion after sale, unless expressly covered or caused by a confirmed defect;
- broken glass, crowns, stems, pushers, bezels, clasps, bracelets, straps, or pins caused by use or impact;
- unauthorised repair, opening, modification, or service by a third party;
- loss, theft, or damage caused by improper storage or handling.
6. Water resistance
Water resistance is not the same as waterproofing. Customers should follow the water-resistance rating stated for the specific watch. If no water-resistance rating is clearly stated, the watch should be treated as not suitable for water exposure.
Water damage may not be covered if the watch was used beyond its rating, exposed to hot water or steam, operated underwater, or opened/repaired by an unauthorised party.
7. Battery replacement and watch services
Battery replacement and other watch support services are provided according to the nature of the requested service and the condition of the watch.
If a paid service is not performed properly, we will inspect the item and provide the appropriate lawful remedy, which may include correcting the service, repeating the service, refunding the service charge, or another resolution required by applicable law.
Battery replacement may not include water-resistance testing unless this is expressly confirmed at the time of service. Opening a watch for battery replacement may affect water resistance, especially for older watches or watches with worn gaskets.
8. Inspection process
All return, exchange, and warranty requests may be subject to inspection. Inspection is used to confirm the product condition, the nature of the issue, proof of purchase, warranty status, and whether the issue appears to result from a manufacturing defect, delivery issue, misuse, wear and tear, or other cause.
If specialist inspection is required, the item may need to be referred to a supplier, authorised service provider, or relevant technical party.
9. Proof of purchase
Customers should keep their invoice, receipt, order confirmation, warranty card, and any product documents. These may be required for returns, exchanges, warranty support, and service requests.
